Kicking off Track Season:

The beginning of track season is always exciting, and this year’s opener did not disappoint! Our athletes put in the hard work, which showed as the high school and junior high teams kicked off their seasons.

High School: At Maysville

The high school team competed at Maysville. While it was a day filled with valuable lessons, our athletes proved their dedication and determination to compete.

Junior High: A Day of Big Achievements at Alex

Meanwhile, our junior high team was at Alex, competing against approximately 800 athletes. It was an intense and thrilling day of competition, and several of our athletes stood out by setting personal records and pushing their limits.

Sophia Brown had an outstanding race, finishing 3rd place in the 300-meter hurdles—an impressive accomplishment early in the season. Jonah Cremer also had an incredible showing, securing 5th place in both the 800-meter and 1600-meter events. These strong finishes show the potential for even greater performances as the season progresses. The 5/6 girls’ relay team (Lexi Bitsche, Adriana Baker, Nadia Baker, and McKenzie Standing)showed their teamwork and speed, taking 5th place in the 4x200, while the 4x400-meter relay team (McKenzie Standing, Kayzlee Sayler, Adriana Baker, and Hinley Arterberry) also took 5th place. It’s always exciting to see the younger athletes working together to achieve such success.

Hinley Arterberry also made her mark, finishing 5th in the 800-meter race. The determination she showed is a great sign for the rest of the season.

A Great Start for Both Teams

As both teams begin their seasons, it's clear that we have some promising athletes to watch. There were many personal records set, and the atmosphere was full of energy and growth. There’s no doubt that the hard work put in by all these athletes will continue to pay off as the season progresses.

We’re looking forward to seeing what the rest of the track season holds for our talented student-athletes!
