Dear Ninnekah school family,

\r\n

We, members of the Ninnekah School Board, have already taken the first step to find our district’s next superintendent. Recently, we approved a partnership with the Oklahoma State School Boards Association to help facilitate the superintendent search process, which will conclude in April.

\r\n

Selecting a superintendent is one of the most important responsibilities we have as school board members. We are asking for your input about the qualities our district needs in our next superintendent.

\r\n

As we begin the superintendent search process, you are invited to participate in a brief, online survey. Beginning Wednesday, Feb. 9, you can visit our district website – ninnekah.k12.ok.us – to provide input that will guide the board as we navigate through the search process. The survey will be available on our website until March 7. We hope you will take time to participate.

\r\n

Ninnekah Public Schools has a strong tradition of excellence, which is made possible by strong community support and the hardworking staff, parents, teachers and students. We are looking for someone who will put the students first, someone who will focus on the academic future of the district and someone who is excellent at retaining and recruiting experienced, talented staff.

\r\n

OSSBA has helped facilitate superintendent searches across the state, working with other school board associations throughout the country to ensure a competitive candidate pool. The non-profit organization has partnered with several Oklahoma school districts of all sizes to perform superintendent searches, including El Reno, Cordell, Deer Creek and Woodland. OSSBA assists the district with advertising openings, recruiting potential candidates, furnishing an online application management system, and providing guidance and support throughout the search process.
